Good Day,

I am working out a train of thought here, and I would like your help....

Have you ever wanted to carry a fixed blade, but couldn't figure out how to do that?

Do you want to carry a fixed blade, and still cannot work it out?

If so, tell me about your experience.

I used to carry fixed blades only while camping or hiking. Eventually I discovered pocket-sized fixed blades . . . then I discovered pocket sheaths. Now I edc such fixed blades regularly.

A long time ago, I discovered that you could conceal a good sized blade *inside* your pants....even my 9-inch Trailmaster Bowie was pretty much invisible when carried properly. A loop of paracord, passed through the sheath`s belt loop, then positioned at your waistband so your belt can pass through the 2 loops of cord, lets the knife hang inside securely.
This probably won`t work if you`re an emo type who wears those tight-ass pants, but I doubt that many of them hang on this forum.... :-)

I never really find any need to carry a fixed blade other than hunting or fishing. Today's folders will handle about anything that I need done. That said, I wear Bib Overalls and can easy carry even the SY Bog Dog and sheath in the pocket.I have several JK Pocket size fixed blades with pocket sheaths.

The only fixed blade I have been able to carry comfortably is a RAT Izula, with the sheath clipped to my pants belt loop. This works OK and is not noticeable if I am wearing an untucked shirt.

Lots of ways to carry a fixed blade, most of them illegal. Not wanting unneeded hassles, I carry fixed blades of any great size openly, either on my belt or in a hip pocket sheath,

I have carried a BRKT Highlander and several different Anza fixed blades in a pocket sheath as well as occasionally carrying my Scrapyard Dumpster Mutt in a kydex belt sheath. Mostly in the winter when I can wear a jacket over it and not look out of place.
