WANTED: Virginia knife making mentor

Hi guys,
I think I have become obsessed with the knifmakism disease. I am trying to decide on which grinder to purchase, Coote most likely.
I live in the Hampton Roads area; Hampton, Norfolk, Va Beach. If there is anyone within a 200 mile radius that would be willing to give a few lessons, I would be most greatfull.

I would love to just see how others have their shops set up and witness some of the process in action. Phillip if you have some time on a weekend to show me a little rope, that would be great. I think Danville is 2 to 2.5 hrs from my house.

VA in the house. Gouge im from Portsmouth area..(No shop though)...Just like to see loacals....The Jones Bros are in DAnville which is a good drive from our area. I think that if U can make arangements to visit them then U will not go wrong. Great guys That can show U a lot.

If you can get to Phillip and Barry Jones shop, do so.Excellent makers, nice guys,very underated, have obviously discovered a way to make above average knives at below average prices.
Gotta give you a pointer though-never get into a tussle with one of them. Being as they are twins, they have perfected ways of changing places everytime you're not looking so there's always a freshly rested one in front of you

Phillip, That is one sweet setup You have.I will definately want to meet you and Barry. I have a half garage to work in.I cant believe that I am actually considering putting my motorcycle out in the storage shed to make room for knife work.I guess I am sick.
