I've meant to order my BK3 several times now and something has always come up that's not allowed me to follow though with my order. Damn priorities like food, housing, electricity.......freaking bills! Life would be so much more fun without bills. Anyway.....mini rant, sorry, back on topic. The BK3....I would like to finally place my order here in the next week, but at this rate, who knows when it will happen.

In the meantime, for those that have one, any comments on this bad boy or pics would greatly be appreciated in soothing my awaiting. My 3 will be used very hard (like all Beckers should be used) on some property we will be clearing out. An estate clearing if you will. Garages and sheds filled with old equipment, appliances and such that need breakdown and removal.

Going to be a lot of work, but a lot of fun tearing all this stuff down. Can't wait. I think the BK3 will be the perfect tool.

So let's hear any BK3 owner input. Btw........wheres the balance point on the 3? Thanks.

After I got my 3, I used it in the yard. It performed very well. It's in my truck now. Never leave without it!

I ordered a BK3 not long ago when there was a price drop on a certain site.

I should've asked earlier though. Are the current production models stamped or engraved?

I have 5 BK-3s - Two used Camillus, two used Kabar and one NIB Camillus. All are stamped versions.

The 4 users are distributed as follows:: 1 each in the gardening shed, car, truck and tractor tool box for use around the farm and as emergency cutting tools/short pry bars. I think the 3 is a very versatile "emergency tool" - glass breaker, seat belt cutting, other cutting, prying. Capable of all these tasks and short enough not to get in the way a lot. Not the best chopper, not the best cutter, not the best pry bar, not the best shovel, but a very versatile tool. I love'em.

I have used mine for::
-digging holes to plant veggies and flowers in the spring
-to chop out roots grown around a water line I was having to repair
-as a short pry bar for opening various containers and removing boards from buildings under deconstruction
-to cut zip ties/small stuff/line
-as a cast iron pot bail lifter
and other stuff.

I have a friend who does metal detecting treasure hunting and he liked it so much when I showed it to him, he got 2, 1 each for himself and his wife, to use as a combo digging/chopping tool and knife.

I just got my BK3, pictures will be coming once I get some brass screws for the handle.

Interesting fact. The BK3 fits perfectly inside the BK7 factory sheath, and it's neither too tight, nor too loose.

Defiantly post some pics up. Anyone with the balance point??

Just in front of the choil. It's balancing on my punch.

Here's the proof that it isn't resting on the handle.

(Please forgive the unused 3. It just arrived, and this is the first thing I've had opportunity to do with it.)

Engraved.

Actually the center of gravity is closer to Zeta Reticuli 1 and Zeta Reticuli 2.......over 39 light years from earth. Pretty close in the grand scheme of things, especially if you consider worm holes or quantum physics in travel philosophy. But I digress.....yes, from all the reviews, it would appear the BK 3 can move anything.

As long as my bonus check tomorrow comes in as much as I'm planning on, I will be calling Tomars sometime tomorrow morning and joining the BK 3 club.........finally!!!!

Have used my 3 in the yard quite a bit. Digging holes, chopping down bamboo. Most fun was busting up a birdhouse the previous tenant left behind at the last home we rented. My landlord was a Gator fan so he said he didn't care what I did to it....

Interesting tool to have around, not the best for specific task but do alright for most tasks. I left this in the car mainly as a backup emergency tool as the pry option certain stand out from the rest. My main would be the BK9 still.

I loved mine right away. Amazingly scout carry with a tek-lok is extremely comfy. Its an amazingly stout beast of a hunk of steel. I can't see myself breaking a tool that can field dress a car. I'm going to replace the serrations with a 20 or so degree edge, though, as they just don't do it for me. Maybe Santa has a work sharp type of tool in his sack for me this year.
