I'm wanting to have some fairly simple knives made as gifts. Is there a specific section of the forum to ask for this? Is this allowed?

Go to the makers part of the forums. I deal with STR. He might be able to help you. GOOD LUCK! Kevin:thumbup:

What use purpose(s) will the knives be made for? Hunting, general utility, military/ law enforcement, culinary, protective purposes? Folders or strait knives? There are plenty of makers that are capable. But not all can nor will make every type of knife.

I have several knives that I'm wanting to have made. But right now I'm wanting a simple fixed blade. I'm wanting about 3 that are relatively similar to give as gifts. So, more than likely they will be display knives. I'd like some wooden stands that I could put a small plaque on. I'm very open to the knife design, but I'd like to keep it simple and elegant. Unfortunately I don't have a lot of money to spend on these knives. Looking through agrussell and similar sites, their "collectors" knives are more than I'm able to spend right now.

I did the same thing a couple of years ago, three identical knives, once for each of my brothers and myself. Designed by me, made by Anza Knives to my specs, and marked "1 of 3" by a local engraver. Cost was very reasonable, $70 apiece as I recall. Here's how they turned out:

If you're on a budget with a holiday time frame, Anza could be your best bet.

Happy Shopping!
