Just wanted introduce myself here on the BF leather section. I know some of you on here. I have been a member here on BF since 07, Im more of a reader than a poster. I have been a knifemaker and leathersmith for over 20 years on a part time basis. Im also a JS in the ABS. My time is split about 50/50 building knives and doing leather work. Most of my knives are Damascus, My leather work consists of sheaths, holsters, gun belts and my wallet and irazors. here are a few pics of my work. More can be seen on my website www.eptingknives.com Thanks for looking Richard Epting

Richard,

Let me be the first to say that is some first class work. Please post more of your craftsmanship.

May I ask ???? Where do you purchase your leather, and in general, what weight(s)?

Thanks,

Robert

Hey, Richard, welcome to the playground. It's about time you showed your talents over here.

Hey Richard, good to see you here! :)

Was nice to meet you at the San Antonio Blade Smiths Society show. :D

Thanks for the welcome guys. I plan on being very active on this site, there are some very talented leathersmiths here. Robert I have been using Wickett & Craig for a number of years now on Paul Longs advice. I love it, no dye issues, it tools and wet molds great. I use there 7/8 saddle skirt in Chestnut the most, with lots of exotics. Alligator, Croc, Stingray and beavertail. Here are a few more pics of my Wallet and iRazors I build.
