Hey guys, I know everything there is to know about everything, and I want to make a replica of the Renji Abarai Zanpakut Sword. I am going to use S110V, because I KNOW better than ALL of you that it is the BEST steel for a sword.....ever. This WILL BE the bestest replica of a fake replica....ever. I don't want to use the traditional metals you use because they are crap. I'm going to make the "bommel" out of mokume, because after all, it's the best "bommel" material available. Oh yeah, I've been making swords for my entire sword making career. I work at Stuart's shop.

Oh yeah, one more thing. I am the expert here, and I don't need advice from idiots.

That was awesome...let's do it again...
A couple years ago I had a guy in all seriousness ask me to make him a pattern welded steel-and sterling silver copy of the sword from Thundercats...I had no idea what to say other than no thanks...

That's nothing, I'm gonna declare the the Lady UrAnus is the bestest book sword ever and was probably based on General Dick Van Patton's actual wood-covered with aluminum foil sword he wore in his 5th grade school production of "Sleeping Beauty". And if you disagree, Ima go "text wall" on everyone with the same crud over and over until all my threads get closed.

(Besides, everyone knows that Elric's "Stormbringer" is the best book sword ever. It drinks souls fer chrissakes, and gives them to the weilder in the form of supernatural demonic strength . RUNNER UP: Conan's Sword. HON MENTION: The Toledo Salamanca )

You have to HT it under a full moon so the ozone hole can let in the most gravity. Then the magnet falls off faster so you know it's the perfect time to quench the blade. Quench in used motor oil from a pre-1976 Datsun if you want the most microalloy banding. Thank me later. In on 1.

This would be an excellent thread, but we don't have enough idiots. I can't even have my lawyer sue you all because knifemakers don't have that much money. Anyone up for miniature swords? At least material costs would be reasonable.

Perhaps some miniature idiots...

After listening to the new crop of experts, including Monoke guy, Lord Vivamus, etc..i have taken it upon myself, using everything I learned in "Industrial Arts" (Shop) grades 8-11, to finally put the debate of the perfect sword to rest:

Asd you can see, this sword not only has a main blade, but if that gets dull, you flip it over and use the smaller blade! Yes, I know.. genius!

You have to make it out of native Japanese stainless steel though because traditional materials all suck.

And you have to make the two blades out of different steels because they're different sizes, but you can't forge weld them because traditional techniques all suck

Hey Samuraistauart,

I just stumbled on this forum and read your post. Although I was a little taken back by the initial comment of "I know everything about everything" comment, I quickly realized that you have a great sense of humour..., it gave me a good laugh ! thank you !

Eyal,

Eyal,

Glad you got it! I was hoping no one would come away from this asking, "Is that guy serious?" No....no I am not! I was astounded at a post started by someone else who ended up getting himself banned, thought I'd have an attempt at humor!
