i'm off to see it in about 10 min. I'll let ya how it goes and i'll also tell ya if the movie is good ;)

It's ok. They did some gun bashing (typical hollywood leftist crap), but overall ok. I almost forgot how crazy tom cruise was while watching.

It's OK as long as you don't think about it too hard. Some of the more technical aspects of the movie's plot deviate too much from the novel and previous movie version. Without giving too much away, I had a problem with how the tripods are discovered, and how their inhabitants arrive.

Great special effects, reasonable acting, OK story line. I'd give it about a 6.

They should have called the movie, Run to Boston, thats about all it is. Effects are good, story is screwed up and lame in many spots. Wouldn't of seen it because of Tom Cruise but the tickets were free so I figure I did'nt do the gun grabbing anti-American punk any favors.

i actually really liked all parts of it except for the ending. There was a lot of stuff that could have been left out but i'll survive. It also seemed a lot like a combination of the war of the worlds and the white mountains

I liked it but , the parts that annoyed me were his bratty kids that didnt know when to shut up. Especially his son , the kid needed a good , hard slap.
Effects were good, they managed to make the movie have a 'dark' feel to it to go along with the end of the world. :D

The first half was good... then it got kinda slow. The effects were good, and I thought the crazy guy with the spetsnaz was kinda cool. The noise the things made was kinda creepy too.

We went to the 9pm showing on a kinda stormy night. I looked over at one point and she was balled up in the corner of her seat. My first thought was to put my hand on her knee to make sure she was ok, but I could tell she was in attack mode and I may lose that hand. After we got out she said "I was terrified." I didn't think it was a very scary movie, but then again, I've never been scared by a movie (i'm still looking for one that'll scare me though).

All in all, it was worth the $10... the dinner after was better though.
