this is my second new model for 2012. it is cut from a thick chunk of 5160 and has a flat grind. OAL is 8.5" with a 4" blade. scales are dakota dymondwood with stainless tubes. finish is an acid etch pattern. stout fella and a fun build.
I wouldn't normally like that kind of wood on a knife.. but it works here. I really like etching and tribal art on the blade. Pretty effective skinner profile too. Just like the one I keep in my quiver.
thanks, i didn't care for laminated wood handles at one time. i was given some and started liking all the variations i could achieve with a bit of handle shaping.
