This was a father and son project for him and a lot of fun.

Head is 6 3/4 inches(8 1/2 with bowl)forged 1084/1095 steel crudely engraved and heat blued, bowl and fittings are heat blued mild steel.
Handle is 20 inches of curly maple.

That came out beautifully! I don't know about "crudely engraved" as it looks pretty nicely done to me. And the blueing is a nice touch as well. :)
 
Thanks all but it isnt just my project I had help from my son on this one and for the little work he gets to do with me he too did a good job
