This was a father and son project for him and a lot of fun.

Head is 6 3/4 inches(8 1/2 with bowl)forged 1084/1095 steel crudely engraved and heat blued, bowl and fittings are heat blued mild steel.
Handle is 20 inches of curly maple.

I think that's the first modern one I've seen. You just keep getting better.
 
Your doing some fine work! Did you do the engraving on this one? Hope to be getting some hawks done in the next couple weeks. I have a hardtime shifting gears from knives to hawks but think I found the lever this time.
 
Great job! It looks like it could do some serious damage if you smoked the wrong stuff in it. The engraving is excellent to.
 
Thanks again all, Yes Ray I did the engraving, its pretty rough but when you have an idea you just gotta go with it, and I think I need to give my arm a break and make some knives for a while
