I like it. But, I think I wouldn't mod mine that way. At first I though removing that tail would be good. But after playing around with it, I saw the benefits of it.
It allows you to stop the knife in a flicked open position and gives a leverage to flick it back into hand. It's one the ways karambit is used, but due to size and weight that little tail adds a lot of control.
To each their own
Like I said it works for me.
Most of the Karabits I have/own and trained with do not have the "brake" on them.
But again some like them.
I do not and it works for me.

All good, no stress here.I did say I like your mod. I guess it could have been read as I like the tail part and not what you did.
And I agree most don't have that tail. I initially thought it was a skull crusher which I could do without as well.
