Hey guys,

I will be finishing 2 knives in the next few days and seeing that I was taking photos throughout the process for owners of these knives, I might as well share them here.
There aren't that many photos. We pick up the action with both knives having their flats hand sanded. This is my 'Warchild' model. One is regular and one is XL.

Once flats are at desired finish (800 grit), I work on cleaning up the grinds. Here is one of the blades completed.

And here is the 2nd one done. Looking quite pretty

Next I work on creating visibly appealing swedges. This is quite a nerve wrecking procedure. Here is my favourite shot. Not bad for an Iphone photo.

And here are both blades with swedges ground and ready for acid bath and stonewash.

Quick shot of profiled handles. Tangs of both knives have been tapered.

Here is the regular 'Warchild' after the first acid bath/stonewash cycle.

And finally, both knives with mounted handles.
Regular Warchild's handle has a palm swell and it has been textured with Anso textbook pattern. Lots of hand sanding left to do.
XL Warchild's handle is just starting to take shape - still plenty of work.

I will hopefully have some time this weekend to finish both of these off.

Just beautiful! I really like your designs (and craftsmanship of course) here. Everything flows together perfectly. I must say, though I like the final finish, I'm kind of partial to the 880 grit finish you had there. I guess I'll have to go for a "pretty" Warchild. Can't wait to see the final WIP photos. Thank you. Mike
