So, I finally got it and I'm extremley happy about it.

First things first - the pics.

So, first thing I noticed is that the sheath has very strong retention. So strong that it's hard to keep the spine against the sheath not to dull the blade (fiberglass in the sheath could dull the blade).
But again, that will get sorted out on it's own with time.
And good thing is - sheath has no rattle to it.
Blade came oiled and scary sharp. It's CPM-3V full tang blade, so I know it's extremley tough.
Blade is coated, but coating is very smooth meaning it won't affect performance ih the way most coatings do.

Most important is ergonomics. It feels really comfortable and natural in the hand. Not only that, but it allows very good retention, and there's no fear of your hand ending on the blade.
Knife has great balance and feels very light.
And on top of all is very beautiful.

Cold Steel really made a masterpiece. And I didn't expect anything else from Cold Steel high end product.

I'm very satisfied with the knife.

Most likely the greatest knife Cold Steel has ever designed to date! And that's saying something considering all of the great knives that they have produced over the last 40 years, the Trailmaster, Taipan and Laredo to name a few. The only knife that could equal or better it would be a Warcraft BOWIE. There were supposed to be a series of Warcraft knives, the Tanto being only the first of said series. I'm hoping that they are actively doing some "research and development" on a Bowie version as we speak. Come on Cold Steel we're counting on you!

I personally prefer tantos for some reason. I just like the looks and the sturdiness of the Tanto tip. Hard to explain, but even if there was a bowie - I would still rather get a Warcraft Tanto given the option of the two.

Regardless, I agree that Warcraft Bowie would be a badass knife and lots of knife enthusiasts would be proud to own one. Everyone has their own taste, so variety is always a good thing.

After getting Recon Tanto in SK-5 I was amazed, and I wanted to get the Recon Tanto in CPM-3V. I didn't think it could get any better.
Then I saw Warcraft Tanto, CPM-3V full tang tanto knife with the handle designed incredibly well - that was it. Just awesome.
Name "Warcraft" was a bit over the top for me, but at the end I won't be using this as EDC. But yes, I agree that this is probably the best knife they designed to this date.

Warcraft Bowie would definitley be a welcomed addition. I wish they made Warcraft version of each knife they have in Chaos series.

I’d pick that up in a heartbeat as well. For now though, we’ve got the Trailmasters and Recon Scouts. :D

Awesome review, man! Now your Recon Tanto’s got a partner.
This knife is like Recon Tanto on steroids :D
But, without a doubt a premium product.

There are also 1917 Frontier Bowie, Wild West Bowie and Chaos Bowie too... they are interesting, but something like Warcraft Bowie would be much more exciting.

Just imagine a Trailmaster in 3V with DLC and the handle of the Warcraft Tanto! And in 3 different blade lengths, 7",9" and 12". You wouldn't even need a hand guard becuase the handle is perfect as is!!! Or go with a handle and blade shape similar to that on the Drop Forged Bowie but with G-10 or micarta scales and a sharpened swedge!

That would be awesome, but since bowie is a different blade shape then balance point might not be that ideal with the same handle. However, I noticed that the tang is a bit thinner at the bottom of the handle than at the beggining where it is the closest to the blade. That's likley designed that way because of the balance. So making the tang as thick as the blade through it's entire lenght could chift the balance point. Unles the tang is gradually thinned down in order to be more flexible/springy and actually be tougher and more resistant to breakage that way.
