Hey guys. I got one of the very first Warcraft Tantos to hit the open market. The knifes factory edge was.... poor... by my standards. It certainly was not shaving sharp. The factory bevels were mismatched and poorly ground. (the sharpener was obviously right handed
)
So after giving it the eyeball for a couple days and figuring out precisely what I wanted to do with this knife I decided that it was getting a full monty reprofile and sharpening. My intended use for this is self defence so edge retention was not a huge concern.
After spending roughly an hour reprofiling and evening up the factory grinds with the 140 atoma , my sharpening progression went like this.
Atoma 140 Shapton Pro 120 , 320 , 1k Shapton Pro w/ CBN 2k , 5k , 8k and then lightly stropped it a couple times with some 1 micron CBN on kangaroo.
Here is the final result... Can you spot the camera in the first picture?

Its quite sharp , this sharpening showed me how well CS did on this knife (asides from the factory grind...) The steel was finely grained , with no soft or hard spots throughout. Very cool , this is a great move for Cold Steel , and I hope to see the warcraft line expand , I would also like to see some folders with this new (to cold steel) steel.
