This is the first front release lockback I have made in some time, and the absolute first with an integraframe handle.

The handle is machined from 1018 steel, engraved, sculpted gold inlaid and nitre blued. Closed length is 4" on the nose.

The blade is 3 1/4" of turkish twist damascus.

Hope y'all enjoy it!!

Thanks,

Beautiful and very clean looking knife. This type of frame gives you a good canvas to work with and you did great.

That's way over the top! Just incredible!

I really like the overall flow of the knife and the engraving/carving, but not crazy about the finish. IMO the nitre bluing gives it kind of a old rusty look. Perhaps that's the antique effect you were going for.

I'll show my ignorance and admit that I don't know what a "front lockback" is, but the knife is simply outstanding, beautiful!

Kevin,

the blue is much more bright and not dull like in the picture. I have a light coat of oil on it since the blueing is new, and it helps my cheap camera get the color closer as it knocks down some of the reflection.

It is typical nitre blue in color and was polished to 2000 grit before blueing.

Thanks for the compliments

A front lock has the lock closer to the front of the handle (nearer the blade) rather than towards the rear of the handle.

As with every other "Bailey Bradshaw" piece, I'm in awe! You never cease to amaze me how innovative you are. I Love this one too.

I have to admit it's getting a little difficult--every knife you post I have to come up with a new superlative. I can't just say "awesome" and "fantastic" all the time!

One of the most stunning pieces that I have seen in my time here. Thank you for sharing.

this is really an exceptional knife....
the blade alone is beautiful... but then you go into that handle - and man, i was just blown away.
