I’ve got a buddy that’s a gun dealer and in his quest for more guns he found an estate sale that the seller wouldn’t commit too unless he took the knives also. So he turns to me and ask if they are worth anything.

My jaw dropped….3 Buster Warenski’s and the others.

Since this is WAY above my pay grade, and I’ve never needed this service. What is everyone’s opinion on getting these evaluated as far as price. Who to use and best place to sell.

I’m trying to figure out how to lower the size of the pictures to post them…..

Hmm, perhaps ACK could be of assistance. They do consignment, I think they also do evaluation but not 100%.

If you have a Windows system, just use Paint ( computer -> Disk C -> WINDOWS -> system32 -> mspaint).
When Paint opens, you can either copy and paste a picture or open it using the File tab at the top. Once the picture is open, use the HOME tab, click resize, click the pixel button and change the pixel count. Don't make the picture too small or you'll lose resolution. 1200 or so in the horizontal box will be ok, the vertical will be resized automatically to keep the proper proportions.

Nordic Knives is also good if you're going to consign them. Dave Harvey has a good grasp of what older makers should bring. Benard Levine might still do consignments too.

If you have an Android phone, open the picture, click the picture of a pencil thats at the bottom of the screen, click the 3 dots on the bottom right, click resize, choose your size.

Oh, and don't over write the original picture. Change the file name or when you save the smaller picture it will replace the original. To do that, after you choose the size and click DONE, a new screen appears. Click the 3 dots in the lower right corner, choose "save as copy".

IrfanView is probably the most widely used free image viewer / basic editor.

I haven't used MS onboard offerings for decades...
