Looks like a bunch of bull to me. . . .Keeps arteries from constricting? How? If anything, putting something around your wrist would constrict blood vessels from the pressure. As for the refillable hot pad, that's just a bag of activated charcoal. You can get 'em for a buck almost anywhere in the winter. You put 'em in your gloves and they'll keep your hand very warm for a long time.

Dear Shadowfax,

I won't lower myself to comment on your "bunch of bull" statement, however I will stand up for this product and try here to answer your questions and rebute your negative comments. Take this for what you may:

1. Arteries tend to constrict when they get cold. Applying warmth (heat) to them will help prevent constriction, thereby improving circulation of more warm blood to the hand.

2. These fleece lined wristbands have velcro adjustments to avoid "putting pressure" on your wrist beyond that necessary to keep them from moving around or coming loose.

3. Whatever is in the hot pad (frankly none of your business), it works, is natural material, and does the jobe of maintaining an approximate temperature of 135 degrees F for roughly 6-8 hour periods.

4. Guess what, they are roughly a buck ($1.30 for a pair, actually on our site), and you MISSED the entire purpose when you said that one can "get'em for a buck ... and put'em in your gloves..." - as the purpose of the Thermaband is to allow one to work with their gloves OFF! For example anyone working at night, or amature astronomers, campers, night fishing (ever handle bait with gloves on?), etc.

Sorry you felt the need to trash our product, but if it made your day, so it did mine, as it gave me this opportunity to explain more about our terrific product!

Sincerely,

BarnZ

Shadowfax,
The concept does work..Actually it works VERY well.

I`ve worked as an aircraft technician in Alaska for the last twelve years, all "on the line"..no heated hanger available.

I`ve frost-bitten just about every appendage..Let me re-phrase that to keep on the topic

.I`ve experienced frost-bite on all my counting digits,..toe`s and other`s, but thats a different story.

As for chemical heat pad`s,

Sure they will, but your missing the point!

Try lock-wiring 5 consecutive dash-4 twelve point bolt heads with one piece of .020 stainless safteywire by mirror at 40 below F,believe me, gloves gotta come off!!

BarnZ,
Pretty cool product you got there!!
I do need to get a good product development laywer tho..Myself and many others have been stuffing and duct taping them to wrist`s & calf`s for years!!

Just wondering,BarnZ,are you getting many sale`s???...Studio City ???..Man,I`ve been there, done that..resided in North Hollywood many years ago...You are,Beleive it or not the first outfit i`ve seen advertise this product, expect some big orders around SEPT-NOV.

Hi Paul,

Each pair of pads has a usable life of 6-8 hours. Though using natural materials, the reaction created when mixed prior to slipping them in the wristbands expires after the above mentioned time period. The good news is that they are quite ecomomical at $1.30 per pair. If you plan to use them 365 nights a year give me a call and I'll cut you a discount

Thanks,

But I have a problem with circulation and when I ride my bike the fingers go white. SO I have to run warm water to get the blood vessles to release. Using the product every day for a ten min ride, wouldn't be cost effective. However, I will keep them in mind for ice fishing.

Thanks for the info.

Paul
