I think I'm going to build this etcher finally and I have 2 questions about the parts list shown on Crawford's site:

1) Power cord - the power cord listed can't be found on Radio Shack's site, and it doesn't say what kind of cord it needs to be. 2 prong? 3 prong? specs?

2) Bridge Rectifier(s) - Parts list says Rectifiers (plural), but is only one needed?

Thanks for any help!

Thanks Josh! I didn't make it past the 2nd page of the tutorial, so I appreciate the assist.

I think I have some power cords laying around that will work fine. Hope to make it to Rat Shack this morning!

Just got back from the local Rat Shack. Unfortunately they didn't have some of the parts so I had to order them. Curiously though, they are now selling Ferric Chloride there again...they swore up and down to me about a year ago that it had been discontinued.

+1 to what 12345678910 said, the electrical print made ALOT more sense to me than the written instructions.

Me too, but they are still retarded as far as standard DC wiring goes.

Red should be positive, and Black should be negative.

Your part is positive, and your pad is negative.

Wiring it correctly allows anyone to also use it as a 12v power supply.

You may skoff, but I tested a bunch of 12v led lights last night with mine...
