How much warning will we get before a blade gets retired? Who makes the announcement?

I assume it will be here right?

Thanks,

I seem to recall they usually mention it here a couple weeks before they actually pull it, but don't take that as gospel :o

If you're not on the Bussekin newsletter mailing list I suggest you contact Pokey and get on it. Not everything is announced before it happens, but you will be in the loop for any information released.

Ditto on this, all you need to do is send an email to Pokey@bussecombat.com. Give her your first and last name, then ask to be added to the newsletter.

Once you hear back from her you will have confirmation, but for some reason I was not added after my first request was confirmed and had to ask again to be added.

Rule of thumb Bro, "you snooze-you lose". I have lost so many times waiting around for something, what I can't remember. So if it's what you WANT, don't wait as you will regret it very much.
***I have been thinking about the Rodent 4, 9 and a Rattle Hawk for way to long. I just pulled the trigger myself Bro, cause the time is coming they want be around;)

Ya, definitely jump on whatever you're interested in if you have the means. There's really no way of knowing when something won't be available anymore and there's no guarantees finding it second hand. Just curious, did you have a particular blade you're looking at?

Actually I was looking at all of them and now thinking I should have ordered the R3 and R6 as well. I have always been a big fan of the large blades. Had KZs, MOABs, NMFBMs, Rat Mastiffs, Rat Daddys, AK's, WAKI, RUCKs & RUCKIs etc. Just something about this R9 that I really like. Haven't held one yet but I got a funny feeling I'm going to like it. Even given the lower hump I feel it will be comfortable for me. I have large hands and my fingers spread out with out much of an issue. The only knife that I had an issue with was an Argonne. It seemed to have the fingure grooves spread out to much.

They'll usually post something but it can be only a few hours before it goes down. I'm ready for something new!!

I think you'll really like the Rodent 9, especially if you've got larger mitts. The handle seems to be very polarizing, most people either love it or hate it. I've had one previously and I do find myself thinking occasionally that I wish I still had it, but there's way too many blades that I want and nowhere near enough money to have them all. One thing I will say about the R9 is that it's very well balanced and comfortable when choked up for finer work, which means you don't really notice the weight of the blade. I think it would make a great one knife solution because of this, as it's also a pretty good chopper.
