Just want to let the fine folks here at BFC know that if you purchase a Cobra FRS 110 recharger, the advertisments are wrong. The recharger says you can charge 2 radios in the recharger or charge the batteries separately. Well, the contacts don't work when you recharge the radios in the unit even with the battery door off. I called Cobra this morning and their tech rep apologized and said their marketing section was wrong. He said the newer models all have charging contacts on the outside of the radios and will be able to recharge correctly.
Just wanted you guys to know if you were looking for a Cobra FRS. The 110 works great and the charger works fine charging just the batteries but it is a pain in the buro to take the batteries out each time I need to recharge.
Bottom line: Cobra FRS 110 recharger does not recharge the radio as a unit...only the battery.
