So, who've been the shark inn the water lately in the Cantina? So many good deals been whippn by, and I haven't had time to notice who scored and such cause I was grabbin them as fast as i could!

I'll start by posting by June/July snags, all beauts!

M-43 by Amtrak kami (RR)...I gave a review of this one a while back, and how it likes the taste o' me. It's new name is "Bitey"

18" Horn handled GS by Amtrak. Just hadta get another khuk from this guy after getting his wonderful M-43 in weeks previous. has a Kesar 21" GS b4, but traded it. I really like the 18" and wow, are the fullers clean and even. The spine has some off centeredness to the cantle, but it dont FX nuthin. Amtrak always puts an ultra-fine liquid shine on his khuks, and they look like the moon reflectd in water when ya hold em up jest right to the light. This was a blem because the handle has developed a series of micro-cracks where the horn is slightly delaminating. I'll probably talk to my livestock owning budy about some hooflex, if it bothers me. I think it give the handle a really nice worn look, and the handle has some wonderful white and grey inclusions inn the glassy black horn. Also, the handle on this is like 1.5 iches longer than the M-43 handle (so about 6 inches from butt to bolster). The kool thing about this is you can hold near the bolster for a nice fast and neutral balance swing, or hold way back for a more powerful chopping swing. There is good math at work in these proportions (6x3=18, etc etc). Fer a blem, its a gem!:D

Last but certainly not least, UBE by Kumar. Manghu got the one posted in the 7/16/ thread, but Uncle took pity on my lamentations of non--UBE-havedness and dug one up for me (thanks a mil, Uncle Bill!) This one's en rouute, but I expect to gush like a 70's schoolgirl talkin bout seeing Scott Baio in Teen Beat when it arives in Indy...

So, anybody score some cool HI merch? Spill it!:D:D:D

My Bura - Tibetan sword came today! Wow!! I'm still shakin' from the excitement of tearing open the package.:D :D
BTW, very pretty engraving on the blade side of the guard. That Bura is something.
Does anyone know where I can see pictures of historical Tibetan swords like this?

Hi Guys
one blem seax, one perfect seax from Bill and a Movie Model from an unexpected private contact. All found their way to the South Pacific without any problem.
Regards
Phil :)

Got a nice little JKM-1 from aaron_simkovich here on the forums. Once I give it the "Nasty treatment" it'll be a nice little woods knife.

I recently got an AK and a sirupati, both 12" villagers. I got the handle off the siru (the JB Weld was just holding the butt plate - the rest was laha). I'm thinking about a stacked leather handle, brass guard and aluminum pommel.  Sound familiar?

I'm *so* proud to have something here named after me!!! :D

Let's see...most recently, one of those crooked little kerambits, didn't like me though, so I sent it on a world cruise.

Also, I replaced the beautiful BDC Yvsa sweet talked me out of (Okay, the durn ndn trader cut me one heck of a deal!). This one is just as sweet, but in wood.

Nothing else recently...I've been travelling and missed most of the great deals Bill and Yangdu have been tossing out as chum!

Yup! Dayumed Good Deal!:D :p ;)
The BDC is still laying besides my recliner but is about to find a permanent place here in the house.:D

about. And, what with the standing 25% off in stock items...wow.

Seaxes...ya gotta love em. If any of you new seax owners are interested, I'll letcha in on a secret...I etched the initial run with runes (an anglo-saxon/scandinavian/baltic alphabet), and have since done so on three or four of the late model ones. If you're interested, shoot me an email. Most folks get their family name, motto, etc (which is pretty much concurrent for the text historically found on seaxes).

I'm finishing two up fer Svash today, and I'll get some pix to show yall.

Keith
