Hi, I've been in a strange mood lately and I think it's rubbing off on my knife making, anyway this is made for someone that wants a box cutting utility knife.

3" etched O1 blade
Ironwood burl with titanium and copper stacked spacers
.63 anodized titanium frame
7" o.a.l.

Thanks for looking and ANY comments are welcome, Dave

Awesome, I love that one. Tell us about the thumb stud/hole, it looks interesting.

I think it's pretty cool looking. VERY nice ironwood.

...but then again, I'm a bit strange too. :)

Maybe you should focus more on your creative side.
That knife is really nice, nice looking, and functional looking as well.

Thanks for the positive comments.

I WAS trying to use my creative side when I decided to do a stippled, recessed thumb area and when I got it done it didn't look right so I added the anodized titanium thumb stud. :) :p :)

Another fine folder. This Wharncliffe of yours is very nice and I also don't see anything strange in it. Looks to me quite handy and beautiful, thanks for sharing.

i really like that. awesome job all the way around. And Jwolf1 it is not polite to ask in the gallery about sales if your interested in it, e-mail the maker. but if you read the post it says he made it for a gentleman. which means its probably already on its way home

Thanks again for the nice comments, like I said I've been in a strange mood lately so maybe this knife isn't as wierd as I thought.

JWolf1, Pricing isn't allowed here but in this case I don't think it will matter. I'm giving the first 10 knives that I make to family and friends and this is #8. If I'm reasonably happy with the quality by my 10th, I'll try my hand at selling. Thanks for asking, Dave

That's a great looking knife, and great looking ironwood. This coming from a guy who's not a folder guy. If that's only your 8th knife then

I really like the contours of the handle as well as the grain in the Ironwood burl. Great work on the spacers. I also like the way you designed the Wharrnie blade. Great job!!! ;)

Thanks again for the great comments, I really, really appreciate them.

thats only your 8th knife ever!??

Yeah but I've been doing this for about a year and have only made 8, not exactly pumping them out but I did spend quite a while practicing grinding, heat treating and the mechanics of a folder before I made my first knife.

In fact up until a couple of years ago I didn't even know handmade knives existed, I thought they were made in a factory somewhere. I'm no spring chicken and I don't live in a cave so I wonder how many other people have no idea this artform exists, I bet there's got to be quite a few, Dave

Ok guys my bad I am sorry and the how much thing I was trying to make a joke, that knife is just beautiful and struck a cord with me. Please forgive me I am a new member and that was my first post here.
Be a nice one to take back to Iraq with me.

Nothing weird about that knife, It looks great. Very , very nice knife. I like the thumb stud, but then agian I like everything about it. I think you have got the quality thing down already. :)

Can your family adopt me, at least long enough for either #9 or #10? ;)
Excellent knife by the way.

in style, the stud in the recess being the eye. Nice wood.

Do one with ebony handles/blued blade, and call it "The Raven.":D:D:D
