I've seen warped ceramics in less expensive crock stick sharpeners. Has anybody ever encountered warpage in the tri-angle sticks that come with the 204?

I have never heard of anybody ever having that kind of problem, but it's nice to know if you ever do, you can just send it back to Spyderco to have them fix it.

I have no question about whether Sal would stand behind his product; that's a given. I'm just wondering if this has ever even happened.

I've been a diehard bench stone guy since Grandad taught me 35 years ago. I bought a 204 a few weeks ago and may never flat-stone again. I can't find anything negative about the 204, and I tried to hate it.

It's harder to change angles with crock sticks, in fact trying to do so defeats the purpose of the fixed angle of the V. It's just as easy to change the angle with one stick but the ceramic sticks don't seem to offer as much variety in grit size as bench stones do. An adjustable angle crock stick seems like it would be versatile. I use a crock stick in the kitchen but so far still use bench stones and/or one ceramic stick with other knives as I have a wide variety of angles to deal with. The ceramic sticks are nice for edges which aren't straight as one can sharpen the knife without removing lots and lots of steel with a flat stone.
