Warped Strop

Yep, I work with leather and if you don't lay it out flat to dry, it will buckle.

Sure is possible. Get it counseling quickly or it could be warped for life! :p

In lieu of that, you might try dampening the leather again and laying it flat between two smooth boards with a bit of weight (not too heavy) on top until it dries. Don't try to speed up the drying process.
