New, to me, used Mini-Griptalian. Does the warranty & sharpening extend to 2nd & 3rd owners? Hope so.

If my reading comprehension is working the above don't sound good. Wonder if BM enforces that?

I think they just updated that warranty page. A lot of changes from two months ago when I sent in one of my 710's for a barrel spacer swap. Of note is the very clear language regarding who's covered. They really seem to dislike ONLINE RETAIL, check it out... People who buy from online discounters aren't covered.

Blade replacement price went up...Also, it looks like they ship back free of charge now even for the lifesharp service (non warranty issue).

I think the operative word is "unauthorized" on-line" retailers.

They seem to like Knifeworks (On-line retailer) so much so that they keep giving them dealer exclusives where you can't buy the knives any place else.

My read or take on it is they are referring more to places like ebay and prehaps Amazon where fakes and clones are more likely to turn up.

Just print off the form, fill it out, and send it in with your knife. They won't ask you if you're the original owner.

It is a shame that they're technically not warranting all of their knives now. I'm sure ebay has a lot to do with this to help stem the tide chinese counterfits

Agreed, but real world- push come to shove, as long as you just send them Benchmades that need work they'll fix it no questions asked Im guessing. I just had a 710 worked on and will be shipping out a 556...Not mailing anything but the knife and order page (no proof of purchase or anything like that).

As far as fakes, are they making actual clones of Benchmade folders now? I know of Axis Ganzos and other obscure ones but never actual Benchmades. Hope it stays that way.

The changes are a little disturbing.

My first order of business upon receipt of a new knife is cut stuff up. Which is usually the box and other crap that comes with it as it's handy.
