When I open my 0551 the lockbar doesn't go over enough and is springy. The blade then has lock rock because of this. If I push the lock bar over the lock up is solid. Im wondering if I can fix this by breaking knife down and bending lockbar in a bit more? Or should I send it in, if its covered? Or should I just grab knife with a firm grip so lockbar is pushed over when cut. (In video I was a little abusive cause I didn't know how it would show or hear on crap camera phone).

Mine did the same thing after about a month. I sent it in. Got it back in a week and sold it. Looks like your has a Krein re-grind? Don't know if that affects warranty. I don't buy into this "mating lock to blade with titanium" concept or Sharpies/pencil graphite to fix it. I have a $59.00 Rake blem from Kershawguy that is rock solid from day one. That's like saying "Here's your new car but don't expect it to start everyday for the first couple of months till you've started it several hundred times".

It cuts so much better now if it cost me my warranty I wouldn't mind. It had the rock before I sent it to Tom , I like the design that much I figured if I just grip it hard it goes away anyway but now that im carry it so much more since the regrind its just that little nagging thing.

What a conicidence, I got off the phone with Tom on Monday. Holding off sending mine in because of this exact problem. Going to send it in first then sending it to him.

My 0300 is the same way now. I'm going to take it apart and try to bend the lock a little. It works with steel but TI may be a bit harder.

Let us know how you make out. A quick solution at home would be awesome

I took mine apart and bent it over more, it worked for a while but then developed lock rock again but it wasn't because of the lock bar. I had to put shrink wrap on the thumbstuds to make the lock engage sooner. Now it locks up perfect.

I'm glad to see I'm not the only one having this problem...mine has lock rock and blade play. It'll be getting sent in tomorrow.

I broke it down bent over ti and put it back together. It seems to be fixed for now. It was realy easy putting this thing back together ,everything kinda has a slight friction fit before screws so it was real quick. Whole thing took five mins literally. I did notice a little rust on ss liner wich shouldn't have been there cause I got mine after the fix, nothing a little flitz didn't fix
