Does benchmade GENERALLY grant their warranty to disassembled knives so long as you didn't bust anything in the process?

no. if you send in a disassembled knifed, you voided your warranty. and they will charge you a fee for the re-assembly (about 25$ iirc).
that's what i have heard. correct me if i am mistaken.

If you took it apart that far, then pics are mandatory! :D Not only that, but we might be able to help you get it back together.

I put it back together and all just fine, but i mean if i have voided my warranty would they still replace a busted omega spring or something like that?

A) move this thread out of their subforum
B) don't say anything when you send it in.
C) They usually don't say anything or worry about it even when they know unless what you did changed/damaged the knife. I have taken apart every single knife I own (all Benchmades), and I have never had an issue with them honoring their warranty in the rare instance I have needed it.

yeah i have sent in a dozen that have been taken apart to be cleaned and re assembled properly and they fixed them for the reason i sent them and returned them free no questions asked. if they cant tell youve voided the warranty, you havnt.
