I've had a mini-cyclone ti-zdp for 2 months now, and now the auto- assist stopped working( I can see the bar moving in the spine, but nothing is happening. Is their anything I can do, or should I send it in? Other than this small problem this is still a great knife. THANK YOU!
 
Have you checked to make sure the On/Off switch on the spine of the handle is set to the ON position? Remember the Cyclone can be AO or Manual.
 
send it back, and ask for them to sharpen it too, if they don't replace it.
 
Otherwise you can order a new torsion bar through Kershaw's website and try to fix it yourself.

"Lifetime no hassle warranty", hard to have a problem that isn't covered !!! Simply the best customer service anywhere !!!!
 
Just got my knife back, and it isn't in much better condition! The pivot is so gummed up the knife will not lock after the A/O is started. It opens half way, and then just stops! I just opened it up, and now I have a new problem. When I sent it in it was totally clean, and the pivot was perfect, and now it won't work for a different reason! I just gonna send it right back in. For the $160 this knife costs I don't think I should have so many troubles. I've EDC'd it for a month before the torsion bar stopped working, and now its messed up again. Whatever was used to lube it has just gummed up!
 
Forgive me if you already did, but have you tried adjusting the tension of the pivot screw?
Try loosening it a little at a time and see if it helps. It's possible (but unusual) that it was over-tightened. It might save you the hassle of having to ship it again.
