Warren Thomas Ti/carbide dog tags?

YES!

Very, very, good idea! I wonder if they could be stamped like the aluminum ones?

I have one of the prototypes (which reminds me to give it back to TAD) the problem here is that there is no adequate sheath or cover for it (and still make it look like a dog tag). Patrick gave me the prototype to see if I could come with something in kydex but after several tries, nothing seems to work very well.

hmmm....

maybe one of the wide rubber bands they use on lobster claws? wide enough to not come off and cover the blade?

maybe a cover that could slide up the chain?

are they planning on shipping in pairs or singles?

Don't some dog tags have plastic strips that go all the way around the edges like you sometimes see on keys and stuff? Couldn't something be done like that for a sheath of sorts?

Before I got out, I used the standard rubber dog tag silencers that wrap around the edge of the tag. I don't know if this Ti tag would be sharp enough to cut through them or not.

While we're sort of talking about dog tags, I might as well throw out a little hint that alot of you probably already know. Take some 550 paracord and pull out the inner threads. Then pull your dog tag chain through the paracord. Use as much paracord as possible. Then use electrical tape on the ends to keep from fraying. You'll end up replacing the tape every once in a while. Some people just put a match to the ends, but that makes for an abrasive cord end that gets irritating (at least for me). The cord combined with the rubber silencers makes for a truely silent setup.

This is probably old news to most of you but I thought I'd contribute it anyways...

I've been waiting for these little blades for some time now. Every week or so, I end up at tadgears website hoping that they will be for sale.
