Here you go. http://www.fws.gov/permits/faqs/faqtuvwxyz.shtml

"You do not need a permit from us to import wart hog (Phacochoerus aethiopicus) tusks into the United States for personal use. A person engaged in business as an importer of wildlife must obtain an import/export license. If you are importing wart hog tusks for your personal use in your accompanying baggage, you must declare the items on the Customs declaration form."

Poacher!!!!!!

How can you say that without knowing the facts? Hunting in South Africa is a legal activity and has a strict law and body of conduct. Poaching is the illegal shooting of animals on farms or nature reserves.

Warthog tusks can also be found just lying around on farms where the animal has died of natural causes.

KYCelt

I think you have some good advice.
