While at work discussing the green beret knives that were at nordic knives with another coworker, one of the managers handed this to me and said that he didn't know if it was any good or not, but the edge definitely needed to be worked on. since I talk about knives a lot he asked if I would sharpen it, and I did. the forward curve was completely blunted and there was a .5mm dent in it wich is now sharpened out. 24 degree's per side at a 600 grit finish.

it's not to often that you see custom graphics, as apposed to the unique art ones from the shop. the logo is the logo of the blacksmith shop i work at, hans duus blacksmith inc.. we make light fixtures :)

pretty cool logo. so, he had no idea what it was?

and i assume the 07 is for the year of production?
 
nice knife. it looks like someone added the logo themselves though.

kind of sad if the owner asked if it was any good. :(

I don't think that he did. I'm not sure he has any experience to compare quality with or any knowledge of brand names, other then that particular knife works well for him. I beleive that the 25th anniversary was last year, so it makes sense that the 07 is the build year.

his comment was "in all the paperwork that came with it, it said that you could send I should send it in for sharpening but with shipping and handling both ways I thought why bother."

it is possible that it was custom engraved after getting it from the crk... I'll have to ask aaron if he was the one that bought them, and how they came to be. he used to work at nordic knives, so I'm thinking that he's the one who got them...
 
I have not talked with carla directly, but it appears as though they were done directly by the chris reeves shop. They had talked with chris during the nordic knives show, and carla didn't run the order through nordic knives in any way.
