I was looking through an old foot locker that I haven't looked in in years. Stumbled upon an old Benchmade. Does anyone know when it was made? I haven't carried it since before 9-11. I'm more into hunting knives but it was still cool to find it.

Still in good shape, early Model 710 - nice user! Dated to the late 90's. The marking on the blade 1/1000 does not mean it's the first of the series, only One Of. ATS-34 is a Hitachi stainless steel, nearly identical to US made 154CM; still good stuff by any standard.

Funny you should show this. Talking to a coworker from another facility last week, he showed me his knife and my mouth about dropped.
 
Excellent blade! I've got a 710 from 1999-2000 in 154CM that has been a dedicated and trusty daily carry piece. Your knife in ATS-34 predates it by about a year or so. I'd date your knife late 1998 to early 1999. Keep on using it!
 
I don't have enough posts to sell this knife so would anyone be interested in trading an old Buck or Schrade 4 pin LB7 for this?

Be careful about posting "for sale" items as a non-gold member. Also, I'd recommend keeping trade requests (WTT) in the that sub-forum. Mods will probably agree!
