Was I the only one that ordered a SAR-8 SE last night?

...or did we all just not care as much this time around? It seemed like they hit the company store without so much as a peep on the boards last night.

They are sold out, so SOMEONE bought them. I wanted one bad, and I love the orange G10 handles, but I can't afford it.

I didnt check this morning. They're sold out already? Wow... that was faster than the LE version. I almost waited till morning to order from my office. Glad I didn't.

I will be limping by with just the LE:cool::cool:

Skunk does not always throw all the knives into the store at once,
Sometimes they trickle out:thumbup:

I"m barely alive from the LE but checked and they were out fast, I thought they would have lasted way longer then the LE. Should have hit one up...

I snagged one. In fact, I passed on the LE, and was holding out for the version with the Orange/Black G-10 handles. Of the SAR-4s that I have, that configuration is my favorite.

What they need is a SAR 6. The 8" is too long to be practical for military use. Going 8" turned a "SAR" knife into a short machete. If the SAR nomenclature is going to be accurate they need to be 4-6" blades.

Peep!

LOL - I bot a Marco Bolo instead. I've wanted a Ripper-style knife for a long time. Now I'm getting one. Sharpening it might be a bugger tho.

I was real tempted but decided to save my CC for the next BM, the Battle Rattle.

I am holding out for the Bushwacker too. I can't wait. I'd love to hold a SAR8 though. They look really nice and less handle heavy than the SAR4.

FS... 20 SAR8-SE's @ $597 per... :foot: ;):D:D Too soon again??? :o;) LOL

Actually, I skipped this one in hopes of seeing them in either satin finished with black paper or G-10, or a D/C & black micarta version like the other SAR4 combos were... Plus I gotta start socking away cash for the ABMESH (AKA the Bushwhacker Mistress). Can't forget that one!

They're much less handle heavy. Really, it's a sweet knife, and if you can swing the cabbage, you should grab one while you can!

They were sold out within two hours. Or at least they were gone from the order page when I checked the store at about 10:30 (Texas time).

I really wanted a zero edge convex blade like this. The LEs were the same and I missed them. Chances of any future releases with this same edge again seemed slim... I guess... I too would love black paper or G10, but its less important to me than edge type.
