And wondering if anyone had know who this maker is. Terrance Cox, from Austrailia all I can find out. Knife has his name on one side by the guard, and on the other simply says 440c Blade is 7in and overall length is 12in.

Here are a few pics

Detail on handle is possibly Austrailian Knife Makers Guild from what I ccan find on the net. Can anyone identify it any further or give me information on the maker Terrance Cox?

thanks!

Kev

I think that is natural as it doesn't look like damage....looks like a natural crack in the wood. Might be wrong though! I do really love the kinfe. Adds another knife to the hundred or so i already have!

This might be a long shot, but more outlandish methods have been used to accomplish more difficult tasks. That's a pretty complex bit of mosaic pin, nothing I've ever used myself, but also nothing I've seen before. Unless he made it himself, there's a chance he bought it. I would look online to find out what knifemaker supply outlets there arein Australia that might carry such a pattern of pin, then ask them if they know of Terrance Cox, and if they might be willing to pass a message along if he is in their customer database.

I'm not a sheathmaker. I asked what I did so that I would know which sheathmakers to recommend.

The price for a very good to excellent quality sheath without exotic inlay would range from about $75.00 to $150.00.

Sniper X , I contacted a member on CKG from Australia , he was able to speak to Terrance on the phone , he will show him the picts and see if he can provide details about the knife . Terrance doesn;t have an email address from what I was told.

Will let you know when I get more info.

I don't know about the maker, but the knife is nice. I'm also of the opinion that the handle is not damaged. That looks like a natural crack to me.

Sniper , a bud has been trying to get more info on this for you , and since the makers online time is very limited , he is going to print out the picts and take them to him when he gets a chance.

knife guys helping knife guys....all the way across the pond. How cool is that ?

I may know of someone who can make a sheath for you, but until you pony up the funds for a paid membership here, I can't PM you, but you can email me. All information is at the bottom of this post in the sig line. In addition you can go to http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=573950 which is a "master list" of sheath makers posted in the Sheaths and Such forum at the bottom of the "General" index page.
