Was the Emerson MACH 1 made with a olive drab green handle & satin finish blade? Was it made with the bright green handle? Or was it made with both the olive drab green handle & bright green handle? What years was the green handles made?

I am trying to avoid the bright green handle version. Some knife retail websites might be posting pics of the O.D. green handle version and then will send you a bright green handle version.

I don't believe they actually intentionally change the color. I think it was always SUPPOSED to be the same color, but whenever they purchased new material it was just a diferent color...

As for the Mach 1, I do not know if they come with Green handles, but I don't believe they did......

Sorry, I couldn't be MORE help.

Yes the did make the Mach-1 in green G-10 and satin/hard chrome ( I had one).

And I think mkent20 is right. Emerson had a few differnt shades of the green G-10. The inconsistancy and the price of the colored G-10 led Emerson to discontiune the material. I believe 2003 was the last of the green G-10.

Thanks,
Scott

I have an Emerson SOCFK with an olive drab green handle but I have seen a horrible bright green handle CQC7. I thought the early green handles were bright green and then Emerson switch to olive drab green later. Does any one know about the history of the green handles?

the green G10 EKI's was always supposed to be the same color but the supplier was inconsistant and the color varied from batch to batch which IIRC was the reason EKI disco'd the green G10. i have seen probably 3 diff shades myself,

i have had a few green EKI's and really like them, my green G10 black blade SOCFK is my fav production EKI.

there was never a color choice (ie olive, or lime, or whatever) from EKI, they always just called it "green" and ya got what they had at the time.
