Was there a knife company called EDC?

I'm finding old threads referencing a company called EDC. Are they still around? The acronym is so widely used it's hard to search out without dredging up every reference to "every day carry."

I think there's an online retailer called EDC Knives, as far as I know they're still in business, I could be wrong though.

yeah EDK is still alive and well one hell of a great site too some quite uusual makers and some hard to find items
