Was there ever a Buck 110 a lanyard hole?

redface.gif
Title should have been: "Was there ever a Buck 110 made with a lanyard hole?".

Hello,
Other than the hundreds made in garages (which, by the way ruins the knife), no.
We did make 5 prototypes with a lanyard hole a few years back. The front end of the knife has the shape of a 112.
Hope this helps.

And just what happened to those prototypes? would one be able to get their hands on one of them?

Trying is just a noisy way of not doing something.

I promise to only pet it on weekends.

I find this timing very strange, but the 110 prototype with the lanyard hole referred to in Joe's information on the subject in his post above is currently on auction on eBay. From the description of the item given along with the photos of the item, it seems to be being offered by someone at Buck Knives.

eBay Item #1151710012
Title: Buck Knives one of a kind prototype.
Status: about 15 minutes ago the price was at $25.00 with only one bid.
Auction ends on June 9 at a minute or two after 3:00PM PDT.

It really does look great -very unique.

After first posting this I went back to the eBay site and reread the description. It is being offered by one of the BK employees that worked on the prototype project.

I did not see it before but there is a minor problem, at least for me - it has a $500.00 reserve.
