Was this done in China 2007?

Since the year 2000, 15-30% of all buck knives were made in China. Even if they're marked U.S.A., however some fixed blades BUCKS are stamped "China"... I just received one as a gift! But I'm not interested in keeping it. And until BUCK closes that plant.. I will not respect any of their knives made after 1999.. Save for the 2005's with the Idaho stamps. The rotated "T"'s of '05 were all made in China! With the Arrows pointing any direction? We'll never know for sure where it was made! So... As a broker... $12.00 in mint condition with those stamps. eBay only a little more! FYI very well made are those depreciated imports... Very good work! But I don't know how to say that in Chineese!

If you can show me a Buck knife that was made in China but is marked USA that is not a Buck knife that sir is a counterfit. And you can take that to the bank .

WOW OH WOW!!!!!!!!!! You should not post at all if you don't know your facts. This person is along way from knowing what he is talking about. Buck does not and has never had knives made overseas and marked them made in USA. Some fake or counterfeit's maybe.

This is exactly the reason Buck needs to work hard at stopping the counterfeits that are hurting their good name.

Dang, that was a ton of misinformation in one post

FYI any imported buck products are stamped with country of origin.
For example, I have a pair of Buck 815 shears clearly stamped JAPAN

And in addition, it is considered bad form to resurrect a 2 year old dormant thread unless adding something very pertinent.
Misinformation is definately not a good reason

The intent of the post by omeratwood was to see if he or she could stir us up. We as long time members of this forum and Buck knife owners know what he is posting is false. I am sure he or she is just a drive by and will get banned sooner or later.

Was this done in China 2007?

Omer please show a photo of the knife in question. It sounds to me like you might have a knock-off. Being an Army veteran and a firefighter you deserve the real McCoy.

There is a sticky thread above with photos of fake Buck knives you might find informative and you just might see your knife there.

Clearly I'm late to the party... Was what done in 2007?

This "thread" is a snippet of posts from today, that were originally posted today to an SPS thread resurrected from 2012.
It looks like a mod came along and seperated it out for us :)
