Here is a new design I just finished up with a few new techniques for me. The blade was saber convex ground, hand rubbed, etched, then hand rubbed again. I am also experimenting with an accent band in the handle design. Any and all feedback and advise is welcome.

Here are the specs:

Handles - Natural Burlap from Shadetree and Black Linen over Black Linen with Natural Pins.
OAL - 9.125"
Blade Length - 4.25"
Blade Thickness - .121"
Blade Steel - 1095 @ 58 RC that has been etched and hand rubbed.

Here are some pics of one I just finished for an order that I thought I'd throw in with this one. Same specs as the first except this one is saber ground with the etch just bleeding down into the grind (on purpose :p).

It's just beautiful. The band on the sheath and the handle is a nice touch.

Thanks everyone. I am really happy with how this one turned out. It will be hard to let go. I love slicers and this one is a slicing machine.

This is the first sheath I have made with Wickett and Craig leather and man I am a believer. It was easy to work with, dyed nicely and finished beautifully.

Nice Job Jared! I really like it, If I had one thing to try next time would be to angle the accent piece. I realize on this knife the accent goes well with your pin placement but I feel adding an angle is easier on the eye. This is just personal preference of course.

I really like the design, I am sure it is very comfortable in the hand.

Every detail is well done and I can see a lot of thought has gone into this knife. I like it. It looks very comfortable and the finishing is very nice. I think you should be proud, your work is exceptional Jared.

Thanks for the great comments everyone.

I added some pics of this same model done to order with some different materials and finish.

Thanks for looking!!

Jared, ever thought of doing one like those only with about a 6.5 inch length or so? EDC muk, as it were? ;) So sweet.

You know Matt that's a great idea. I've got a batch of orders I'm getting ready for HT. I might need to work one up. Stay tuned Muk lovers.:D
