Here is a new design I just finished up with a few new techniques for me. The blade was saber convex ground, hand rubbed, etched, then hand rubbed again. I am also experimenting with an accent band in the handle design. Any and all feedback and advise is welcome.
Here are the specs:
Handles - Natural Burlap from Shadetree and Black Linen over Black Linen with Natural Pins.
OAL - 9.125"
Blade Length - 4.25"
Blade Thickness - .121"
Blade Steel - 1095 @ 58 RC that has been etched and hand rubbed.
Here are some pics of one I just finished for an order that I thought I'd throw in with this one. Same specs as the first except this one is saber ground with the etch just bleeding down into the grind (on purpose
).
