I'd like to get some opinions on the following matter. I can't remember where, but about 1 year ago I read something concerning brass washers. The jist of it was that brass, being a relatively soft metal, makes for an incredible washer (as compared to the plastic ones the kvives come with). I have a BM made CQC7 that I just can't get to open smooth. I've polished all metal wear surfaces in the knife, and even the the pivot loose and every type of lube, it's still not smooth.

So, having access to a machine shop, and having already mic'ed the plastic washers, is it worth my time to fabricate brass washers? Or are they hog wash?

Brass? Hmm... As you sure it wasn't phosphor bronze? I believe the latter are used, for instance, in Sebenza's.

I think you're right. Well anyway, just substitute phosphor bronze for brass in my post. Is there any advantage?
