Washer Size Difference

I have several Emersons from 2013 and 2014.

My 2013 CQC-7B has one big washer and one small, while my 2013 CQC-7A has two big washers. I also have a pair of Persians from the recent batch, one has one big and on small washer, the other has two big washers.

Is there a reason for a particular knife to have a small washer on the non-lock side? The full sized washers don't seem to affect the detent.

Was there a date after which you stopped using the smaller washers?

I guess I was mostly curious because I was cleaning both of my CQC-7s last night and was wondering if it would hurt anything if I accidentally mixed up which knife had the small washer or not

I believe the 2 different washer layout is due to the needed space for the "closed" detent yet having the larger one to support the blade and the potential sideloads it may have. If anything, I think Emerson started with 2 small washers and the changed the one lockbar side to a larger diameter one down the road as there was more clearance. Some you can't swap around even though it looks like I'll clear and some look like they should have larger ones for both. The mechanics of it all.
