I took apart my 2004 Military for the first time yesterday to clean and lube. Bought used lnib maybe back in 2006 and it's always had a gritty feel to the action. Was surprised to see that it had some kind of thin plastic like washers. When did Spyderco switch to bronze and would a pair of Para 2 bronze washers fit and smooth up the action? I have some spares. It's not gritty now, but the pivot screw still has to be kept kinda tight to remove any blade play.

Hi WillieD,

All of the early Military modes were made with Nylon washers. Contact Customer service. I don't know if the new washers will fit. we've made may improvements and changes since then.
