Love the Cuda Maxx! Now my EDC.
After looking at the action of the frame lock, I noticed that the white synthetic washer (nylotron?) was being bent by the frame lock while the blade was in the open position. I took apart the knife and the washer has a "set" to it from being pressed on by the lock tang. I have ordered the bronze washers from knifekits.com in several different sizes, but it looks as though I may have to use a large one on the non-lock side and the next size smaller on the frame lock side. Until the metal washers get here, I have trimmed a small sector off the synthetic washer so the lock tang clears it. The washer is not moving after LOTS of openings, but I found it odd that it would interfere with the frame lock in the first place. I wanted to use the 0.5" dia. bronze washers on both sides. Is that what most folks use? Are they trimmed for the frame lock side?

Knifekits offers 3 different sizes. The smallest size they have is what you will need on the lock side while the middle or large can go on the non lock side. You could just use the small ones on both sides. I have and they do a great job. The only thing I'll mention is to use some polish and really give the washers a polished finish as that will help with the action. The action will be stiffer at first with the bronze washers in place of the teflon washers, so use some some good lube; miltec or Sentry tuff glide, and work it a little and you'll be a happy camper. Did you by chance order the deep carry pocket clip from Knifekits? This is a great addition and allows the knife to go completly into your pocket where it rides very comfortably due to the thin profile.

I had already ordered the washers in all three sizes from Knifekits (several of each size). I used the largest (0.500") on the non-lock side and the mid-size (0.330") one on the frame lock side. The knife came with the deep carry clip already installed by the previous owner, very nice item. Militech grease was used and now the action is like butter. I may get a few more of the clips for my other knives. Also got one of the pivot bushings to experiment with. One drawback that I have found is that the lock tang moves a bit. It never fails, or disengages, just flexes a bit.
