hi, i was thnking about replacing the junky teflon washers on my folders, particularly speed assisted (kershaw leek, hissastu folder, fire spark) with better, more durable, PB washers or nylotron washers. not to sound like a mall ninja or anything lol. but i would like the extra insurance of knowig my stuff isent going to brake under stress. does anybody know wich ones are more efficient?

and by stress i mean me using them for stuff the, uh, "warrenty" doesent usualy cover. I.E. stripping the leather from a brief case or my new hobby, woodworking. but also, does anybody know wich are the best? PB, Nylotron, or nylon?

well I'm by far an expert but I will say some knives are simply designed and work best with the washers in them.....

ie, I replaced my cheap nylon washers with nylotron in my Buck Vantage Pro and its worse now then before... but who knows I bought them from my supplier and had to trim to fit maybe I need to try buck's before I really rant :)

nylotron may last longer but I don't think they're that much better.. PB otoh is another animal

In all honesty I think this is more of a personal preference thing, some say the nylon washers are faster at the beginning and slow down, others say PB will not work as well but last longer and nylotron i havent used yet though i have a set waiting for a new knife im slapping together. personally id go with nylotron or PB
