Does anybody here know of someone or some place that has vast knowledge in Pacific Northwest plant ID and uses? My family really needs some hands on tutoring and I really am tired of feeling stupid in my own back yard. Books and videos are fine, but are no replacement for the real deal. Any suggestions will be appreciated.

Thanks, Mike

There is a group out of Portland that does pretty exhaustive local plant walks. The name escapes me right now. They're pretty granola, but seem to know their subject. I'll try and find the info. IIRC, they travel to the dry side for classes as well.

Very cool and Thanks in advance. I am much more interested in N.E. Washington after this last weekend.

Wild food adventures with dr. Kallas is the best around I believe. Done one of his classes but need to do more. Hes based out of portland but he does the coast and other areas.

The Bushcraft Northwest school is located in central Washington, I think. I don't have any connection with them other than I've watched a bunch of Mike Lummio's youtube vid's, and I bought a couple things from his online store. I think he's a good teacher & was a straight shooter in the business deal.

It says on his site that he does field biology/environmental science research & went to WSU, so I would think he would know Washington plants pretty well. Might be worth a shot...
