Osiyo Gang,
The last three months or so have been pure hell for me because of increased pain in my low back.
My Drs' go on a 1-10 pain scale and yesterday when it was colder, rainy, and dreary as all hell my pain level was at an 8 with spikes to a 9 fortunately at irregular intervals. Today has been better because of the weather being much improved. Level was at a 3 this morning but is back up to a pretty steady 6 now.
But hopefully the next few days will bring about a way for considerable improvement, perhaps even enough so that I will be able to do a few things in the future.
Tomorrow I go in the hospital for an Intrathecal Pain Pump trial and if it is successful I go back in the 27th, a week from tomorrow, for a permanent installation!
An Intrathecal Pain Pump is a hockey puck sized pump that is inserted in the lower abdomen and that has tubing threaded beneath your skin around to the spine where it is connected to a couple of small catheters embedded in the vertebrate all the way into the spinal cord where it pumps medicine directly into the spinal fluid where it can do the most good.
The medicine is 300 times more powerful than what can be given orally and because it goes directly into the spinal fluid there are none of the bad side effects from high powered drugs taken orally, also takes a helluva lot less as well.

All of the people that I have talked to that has the Intrathecal Pain Pump has told me they have experienced nearly total pain relief!
And all of the people I have talked to that know people with the Intrathecal Pain Pump have also told me that the folks with the pain pumps have achieved pain relief beyond their highest expectations!
I can only send Smoke that it works as well for me and respectfully ask for a Smoke request from all of my friends here that the test is successful so that perhaps I can return to a somewhat more normal pain free life.
If all goes well I should be home by Sunday, Barbie's sister is staying with her this time so she'll have company while I'm gone to help her out with things.
