Or am I losing my mind? I know there's one in The Bunker, but I also thought it was here. There was some info in it that I wanted to save and I didn't do it when I should've. :grumpy:

I've looked and looked and can't find it if there was. The thread in The Bunker doesn't have the same info I recall seeing in the one here, or I truly am losing my mind!!!! :grumpy:
The search feature being down doesn't help any either, but I'm sure not bitching about it as I can only begin to imagine the trouble Spark has had.

Yvsa, sounds vaguely familiar, but maybe I'm just confusing it with the thread over in the bunker. If it was a recent thread, it may have been lost, in which case the search feature wouldn't do you any good. Good luck, and I hope you find it, assuming it exists

I don't think you're confusing it with the one in The Bunker Josh. You posted this over there so it makes me think it may be in another thread titled something other than what I thought.

One is called Adaware, and the other one is called Spybot (I think) wait till somebody else confirms on that second one, because there is another program with "spy" in the title that is supposed to contain its own spyware. I had a similar problem a while back, and these programs took care of it.

Well Heavens to Murgatroid I recalled the spyware program I was wanting to download that's in the thread I can't find!!!!
UnFreakingBelieveable!!!!!!!
The Freebie is SpywareBlaster and it's s'possed to prevent spyware from loading on your equipement to begin with so you don't have to contend with it later.
I now have it along with, HiJack This, CWShredder, AdAware, and Spybot.
That should do it, amazing the things you learn in this forum!!!! Most of what I have learned about computer security I have learned here.

I'm getting as paranoid as BruiseLee, but I s'posse that if someone is really out to get you then it isn't paranoia, ainnit?
