Watch band question

Heaven help me, but I've just gotten interested in watches. My question is: are there any metal bands that do not pull hair on your wrist? I have fairly hairy arms and in the past I couldn't find a suitable watch band. Thanks for any help. Dave

PS: name brands would help, thanks.

Not really, I'm a hard core plastic band guy but if you just test your blades on the patch of hair wear your watch sits there won't be a problem

Just because I'm paranoid doesn't mean they're not out to get me.

I ahve never had a problem with clasping bands -- it's the expanding ones that are really painful!!

Most cheaper watches have really crappy metal bands. Last week I destroyed a brand new Timex band that I was just taking a link out (with a professional tool, no less). Luckily I had a band from an old Regency Submariner clone...

Invicta, for relatively inexpensive watches (many under a $100) has great bands.

Always look for the ones with solid links, the folded links really suck...

Thanks to all for your help. Now if I can just stay away from the other gadgets...although the flashlights look cool...and I really don't need another knife, but....I feel I may be nearing the need for professional help. Or maybe sell a kidney? Dave

Once the bracelet has pulled out all of your hair 'round your wrist, it should no longer be a problem. Just grin & bear it!

Ahhh, fellow watch/knife lovers! Here's a sweet link: www.watchzone.net

And another: www.watchuseek.com Tons o' info here!

There's also a great thread about this, right here in this forum. Use the search feature...I think it was around six months ago.

Here's a great combo: Omega SeaMaster Professional in titanium, and a Pat Crawford Kasper Fighting Folder in titanium. Any other daily carries?

This gadget thing is completely out of control. And it's all YOUR fault!

I've been drooling over watches lately - specifically the Breitling SuperOcean Professional Automatic. Sigh... So many toys...

For a couple of my Casio watches, I use a band called Fastwrap made by Timex. This is made out of Cordura (I think), and closes with Velcro. It is VERY comfortable and secure. Best of all, it's under $8 at Wallmart.
