I have a Seiko Diver, the plastic band finally gave up the ghost so I am looking for a replacement band. I micd the inside area where the band will go and it looks to be 22mm.

Any recommendations for the Band Brand (ugh) and/or a Site to purchase?

Thanks

Whatever you do, don't go to CountyComm and look at the watchbands. There's so much other stuff there that you'll wind up broke.

I just Googled "Watch bands" and found several options. I don't know if all carry Seiko 22mm divers bands but I think the first one does. Good luck!

I recently picked up a 3 ring Zulu in olive green for my seiko diver from www.Strappedfortime.com . The rings are stitched in place, not just heat welded. All the holes and edges are weld sealed so it's a real quality band. I also got the spring bar/pin removal tool. I'm really pleased with both and the Zulu is the most comfortable band I've tried so far.

I suspect these are from the same manufacturer as the Maratac two buckle zulu.
BTW, this isn't the actual color the olive Zulu comes in as I dyed mine even darker with some green Rit dye.

I'm actually going to try this band on my Black monster tomorrow to see how I like the Zulu on it.

I like the 'US Military' straps from MWR and that's what I wear on my Seiko. They also have the Zulu straps as well, both 2 and 4 ring.

I purchased a couple of Maratec and Nato bands from Westcoast Time. I got tired of replacing the plastic bands once or twice a year on my EDW. The Nato style band has held up very well, over two years of constant use and looks like if should be good for many more.

No problems ordering from Westcoast time. Reasonable prices too.

can someone with the CountyComm zulu bands comment on how much metal actually touches the skin? I have a nickel allergy and I thought I might try these bands out if there isn't too much metal/skin contact.

If you're talking about metal from the buckles, none touches my skin. If you're asking about the watch itself, it will depend on the shape of the case. The way my Black monster fits, very little metal touches my skin and it's not constant contact. My other diver has a more contoured case back and it touches my skin a little more but it definitely isolates you from the watch as opposed to two piece straps and bands.

I'd say they're probably your best bet and worth giving a try.

Yep,definetely use the nato style,I just put one on my heh Timex, easy to put on but be sure to get the right size for the watch.I just cut the old band off and didn't even take the pins out----Regards Butch

I love the silicone deployment straps countycomm sells.Wish they made one in a 24mm.

If you want to go stainless instead of rubber, depending on what Seiko Diver you have, you should be able to fit a "super oyster" bracelet. They are for sale on ebay pretty often.

Just checked my Nato style band. None of the SS touches my skin. I don't know what grade of SS they use. Some I think are 316 series and some are "non-magnetic" stainless which probably means something like 304.

I made this on form a Blackhawk rifle sling, had one just like it but of poorer material. The nylon of the Blackhawk sling is of better quality. I took me some time to stitch it all together.
