I've seen some posts via the search function, but have some specific criteria and wanted to get input from the group.

- Black
- Will cover my ears and that I can cuff
- Fits without any slouch or whatever they call it.... don't want the reservoir tip look if you follow my meaning
- Prefer it without any logo or branding visible
- If possible, made in the US

Not needing something super heavy weight, I have other hats for hunting and the more frigid temperatures.

Ahhh, a proper tuque!

Not sure where they are made but Rothco makes a mil spec/Navy type watch cap that looks to check a number of boxes you list. Check it on on the interwebs or Amazon to see if it would work.

Stay warm!

Thanks for the suggestion. Went a different direction and opted for a Stormy Kromer in all black. We shall see.

Hi! Watch caps are the only caps I use in winter time . I also have a preference for well-fitting caps :). The one I currently own and use are 80% wool and 20% elastane. These are made in Italy by a company named Conte of Florence and another named BREKKA. I couple these with neck fleece gaiters since I never use scarves. Good products.

Standard or reservoir tip?

I like a well fitted watch cap as you may have guessed :)
Just don't get this new age style... even if it is warmer ;)

My warmest is a double thick heavy fleece model that I picked up on a hunting trip.
The only drawback is that the material is in "Don't Shoot Me!" orange.
No brand name...

Second favorite is a wool lined knit cap with a NY Rangers logo on it.
Again no special brand name.

The rabbit fur mad bomber comes out if those two can't handle the job...

Lots of folks like those Stormy Kromers.
Be sure to give us an update.

I have a couple of TAD Gear's watch caps. I really like the Merlino wool.
